Fuuvi Bee Digital Camera Brings Back the 8mm Look [cameras]

If you want to disguise your digital camera as a retro 8mm film camera then the Fuuvi Bee has you covered. Of course this toy-style camera is much smaller than an actual film camera, clocking in at under 1.4 ounces. The Bee is ultra-portable with an included wrist strap.Images and video from the camera have a naturally retro look thanks to its low resolution. Video is 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second, while stills are 1280 x 960 pixels with a 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor. Shutter speeds from 1/6 second up to 1/2500 are listed in the specs.

The Fuuvi Bee has a built-in battery that charges via USB and provides up to 100 minutes of continuous recording at an ISO sensitivity equivalent of 100. Video is stored as an AVI Motion file and stills are written to JPEG files. The microSD slot accepts an SDHC memory card up to 16GB capacity.Digital cameras are getting smaller and smaller, and the Fuuvi Bee is one example of a fun toy camera that packs go-anywhere imaging technology in a tiny package. Sure, the low resolution look isn't for everyone, but a camera like this can go anywhere and is easy to use just for fun.

The class includes the basics of photography, including how to get better results from your digital camera using presets. Other topics include aperture, shutter speed, ISO settings, and composition. Included in the class are photos of refuge plants and animals.Weather permitting there will be a photo walk following the class (bring a lunch). The class is free for adults and families are welcome.
